Doing Voodoo Child (Slight Return) by Jimi Hendrix.
To do this, I’m using a high-quality plug-in program known as AmpliTube from IK Multimedia !
Online , I found a standard backing track: Bass, Drums and some light Keys .
Before doing the LIVE take, I wanted to add some rhythm guitar
This is the “Dual Rectifier” preset ; It’s BEEFY and it doesn’t step on any of the leads ...
I thought the pre chorus’ could use some texture ...
This preset is called “Shake The Bottom”
And of course for the lead guitar- a most suitable sound for the LIVE take : the “ Voodoo Child” preset .
I LOVE this preset. It leaves the “tonal” room to add more pedals ~
Like a booster or a Cry Baby ...
It’s always fun to add spontaneity to a cover and I DID notice a preset labeled “Appetite” ...
So , let’s do some Slash licks !
