As the electric blue energy dissipates from the crew's outline,
they immediately take stock of themselves, and each other.
Realizing they apparently have not been harmed, they look upwards
as the Captain steps forward and sternly asks the image,…
"We have permitted your scan,
You now have all the information You required from us,…
When do We get some answers?"
After a brief pause,
a humanoid face appears inside the holographic display,
and begins:
"We are 'The Keepers.'
We were created by the Locrians to aid and assist them
on their journey to a new home planet.
They are a peaceful civilization
that lived and thrived on their planet 'Locria'
for countless generations.
Using a giant solar array
that focused an amplified photon laser through a rare crystal,
they produced all of their energy needs for thousands of years.
Astrophysicists recently calculated that their sun 'Adhera' was dying,…
and their energy-producing pulse machine would eventually cease to function.
Their only hope of saving their civilization was to build an Ark,
and set out for a new home world with a bright star.
'Antares' was chosen, and the quest began.
The construction took decades.
Hundreds of thousands of sleeping stasis chambers were built
to house and sustain the passengers, and livestock on the extremely long journey.
Cultural artifacts,.. like the glyphs you examined on your way inside of this ship,..
were also preserved.
The Pulse Machine had been charging
and had now fully energized enough pods to power the Ark's every need for the voyage.
It was then loaded onto The Ark, along with the Crystal.
As the craft ascended,..
The Locrians tearfully gazed,
as the only home they had ever known,
faded into the distance.
